CHIEF VIGILANCE OFFICER

Mr. Ajoy Kumar, I.A.S. assumed charge as Chief Vigilance Officer of FCI ARAVALI GYPSUM AND MINERALS INDIA LIMITED (FAGMIL) on 26th September, 2008. This job is in addition to his substantive charge of CVO, NFL. He is a senior IAS Officer, belonging to Bihar cadre. He joined the I.A.S in the year 1984. He is of the rank of Joint Secretary to the Govt. of India. He is equivalent in rank & status to a full fledged Director of the Board. He is Post Graduate in Management from IIM, Ahmedabad, 1983 batch.

During his career in the Civil Services, he has held several important posts in Bihar, in the Districts as well as in the Ministries of Govt. of India. He has headed several Districts as District Magistrate (Madhepura, Darbhanga, Buxar, Patna) and Director, Panchayati Raj and Land Records and Survey of Bihar. Mr. Kumar has been Director in the Ministry of Textiles and Private Secretary to the Minister of State for Health, Govt. of India, New Delhi. Before joining as CVO, Mr. Kumar was Joint Secretary in the Ministry of Steel, Govt. of India, New Delhi.
